Clyde Bentley

Our August 2010 Presenter

Professor Clyde Bentley worked for 25 years in the newspaper industry, wearing every hat from editor to general manager to marketing director.  He earned his doctorate in journalism at the University of Oregon in 2000 and now is an associate professor of journalism at the Missouri School of Journalism.  Bentley spent 2009-2010 as a Fellow at the Reynolds Journalism Institute (RJI) where he conducted research and developed strategies to help newspapers deliver the news via the cell phones carried by nearly every American adult.  At RJI he hosted "Going Mobile," one of the industry's first forums to bring together editors, consultants and mobile phone experts to explore the evolving state of the mobile news industry, apps and software.
