3) San Diego Conference Delegates Welcome Your Input

On behalf of your chapter assembly delegates, please review the Bylaws Presentation containing a high-level overview of the National PRSA proposed by-law changes project. Chapter delegates will be discussing and voting on this information during the national assembly on Nov. 6- 7 in San Diego just prior to the international conference. 7) What Others Are Doing in October

a) IABC St. Louis ½ Day "IdeaSpotting" - Oct. 22
"IdeaSpotting: How to find your next great idea," with Sam Harrison is set for Thursday, Oct. 22 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Clayton. For complete information, costs and to register visit the St. Louis IABC program page.

b) Society of Professional Journalists' third annual trivia night - Oct. 23
Get a team of PR professionals together to show that we know more about media, St. Louis, current events and other topics. See Hacks vs. Flacks Trivia Night for more information and to register as an individual or a team. Proceeds go to student scholarships, and conferences and professional development for journalists.

8) Membership Special Ends Oct. 31; Dues to increase in 2010

If you are not a member of PRSA, now is the time to join. If you have never been a member of the association or had your membership lapse for more than a year, check out our "Membership" page for the latest special, which ends Oct. 31. Join by that date and National will cover your first year Chapter dues (a $50 value). If you are a current member and your renewal date comes before the end of the year, please renew on time. Effective Jan. 1, 2010, the local chapter dues will increase to $55 annually, per a vote of the Chapter Board.
